Just doing a quick search on Google for “SEO”, I noticed that within the personalised search results I had a listing which was displayed because of a connection I have on Twitter. See the bottom of the screenshot below:

Is anyone seeing this? I’m assuming this is new?

When I started a personal website, I really never thought it would get used for anything near this personal.

Sadly my dad, Jim Gibbons, died on 11th April 2012 following such a brave battle with cancer for the last year.

He was incredibly proud of my career and paid a huge interest in everything I did, even starting his own affiliate marketing site after reading SEO and web design books that I recommended to him.

So in my own little way, I wanted to remember him online too. I’m hoping that this post will rank for Jim Gibbons in Google so that anyone who is searching about him can find this.

I wanted to share some of the business books that I’ve read recently which I have found to be very useful. As I’ve mentioned previously I find productivity and personal development to be very interesting – I mean who doesn’t want to do less and achieve more?!

So these are the business books, most of which I’ve read during the last year which I’ve found to be very useful to improve my learning:

One of the main goals I set myself last year was to speak at more conferences – and in 2011 I managed to speak at 9 search marketing events – see my Lanyrd profile for details. For 2012, I’ve set myself a new goal – I’d always rather aim for quality over quantity, but would like to speak at a minimum of 10 events in 2012 and I’d like one to be in the US.
